Leather and Fringe

One thing I'm definitely loving on this year is leather, faux leather that is! I've embraced my inner leather lover and have several pieces in my collection. I adore my leather skirt from a few weeks ago but also this leather top I found is a absolute stunner. Never did I think I would like a leather top but when properly lined I don't mind it at all. This one has lazer cut details that instantly gives your look an edgy pop. Go on girl, you'll love it even more paired with a fringe skirt. Fringe is your friend, repeat that when in doubt!

Geo Print

Its been nothing but consecutive beautiful days here in Charlotte and I'm absolutely loving it! I've got tons of sweaters, tights and such lined up in my closet but the weather is simply too nice to pass up on a few bare leg days. Am I right? Loving the weather now but I'm thinking we are in for a brutal Winter! In any case it has been perfection for simple days and wearing a great dress. I took this get print beauty for a spin around the park last week and I had it on repeat for my cousin's graduation festivities that you've seen If your following me on Instagram. Bold lip, bold dress....I'm a happy girl!

The Great Sweater

Just like Charlie Brown and his pumpkin I'm always on the hunt for the "greatest" of things. I've learned over the years that something great is a mere definition within our minds and cannot be determined by someone else. For example something being expensive doesn't automatically put it up on the pedestal of greatness. My sweater is jeweled, cozy, and is in the very shade of my favorite color. Does that make it a winner? In my book it does and it makes it the greatest sweater of them all! Let's just say I'm also celebrating the fact that this great sweater was only $20!

Merry

I know the holiday is just around the corner but really how wonderful and special is this time of year! I'm tickled with excitement to spend time with my family over the holidays cherishing moments and building memories. Yeat after year these moments turn into traditions and become a part of our very souls, who we are as individuals. No matter where I may go and what life may bring I will truly hold the times dear to my heart, I'll even cherish the time I'm spending writing this blog post! I'm loving my perfect holiday dress that I'm just dying to wear for one of thos silly family pics. While holiday is on the brain I can see this paired with tall boots and one of those equally chic chunky cardigans for after.

Late nights and Date nights

I'm always in need of that perfect "go to" outfit for a night out that would be considered dressy but isn't super casual. This time of year my barely there social calendar actually gets pretty busy and I find myself searching for outfit inspiration. I found all the inspiration I needed and so much more with a fabulous pair of pleather leggings. Seriously I'm that girl who wears leggings as pants but I pair those leggings with a great tunic top like this stunner by Free People. I hope nobody has been keeping tabs on my outfit choices too closely this weekend because I wore this on repeat a few times. Put that go to look to work and get going!

Bar Cart: Ikea Hack

Hey there loves! I've been struggling with how to decorate my new home as a single dweller on homeowner on a tight budget. Trust me when I say that my credit cards have seen better days so I take whatever steps necessary to save money when possible. That being said I have been swooning over a fabulous bar cart at Target that would've set me back about $130. I found that number unacceptable and went on the hunt for a more affordable option even if that meant putting in the work to transform something myself. Y'all love Pinterest right? Pinterest will have your mind blown and creative juices flowing and from that I found the idea to take a utility cart from Ikea and make it something I could be proud of. Take some of the tips below to get a bar cart of your very own and on a budget!

Step 1: Purchase the Bygel utility cart from Ikea-$29.99
Step 2: Purchase gold spray paint ( I used the Valspar metallic gold)
Step 3: Partially assemble the cart. I went through step 4 in the instruction manual
Step 4: Ensure your work area is prepped and covered before you start to spray
Step 5: Spray evenly across metallic surface and allow to dry for several hours before flipping and repeating this step. (I even sprayed the screws!)
Step 6: Now that your paint is dry finish assembly of the cart
Step 7: Find that perfect place in your home for you new bar cart!
Step 8: Relax and have a drink, you earned it!
