Colorful World

Oh my loves, it is such a joy to live a beautiful life! Everything is not perfect but I strive to live the very best of days each and everyday! While that is my goal I'm totally a culprit for having my outfit match my mood and today is no different. As you can see for the array of colors I'm wearing I woke up with an extra spring in my step and a gorgeous day to embrace. My pleated dress is old but this beautiful kimono is from one of my favorite local boutiques. Perfect for a wear now or transition to fall with skinnies and booties!

The Skirt Strikes Again

Happy Sunday loves! I am literally tickled about how trends come back around. In middle school I was literally the QUEEN of denim skirts! I had glitter skirts, washed and wishers skirts, you name it I owned it. I know there are often questionable trends emerging or re-emerging in this case but I'm loving it. Since sadly those skirts for middle school are long gone (and obviously wouldn't fit) I picked up this one from H&M literally shrieking face pressed against the window display. I wore for my Sunday Funday activities and may put back on for work on casual Friday. I'm secretly hoping to find a glitter one soon.....

Cool Chambray

I'm completely loving all things chambray from a great shirt to fantastic dress. Speaking of fantastic dresses, check out this beauty I'm wearing! Chambray is so lightweight and simply comfortable that it's perfect for travel and certainly those casual Thursdays at work. I wore mine this week for sightseeing and shopping around the beauty city of Charleston and I'm not ashamed to say that I definitely wore it again today. Love it or hate but I guarantee you will love a grey chambray dress as much as I do! I'm sharing some of my favorites for your shopping pleasure.

Inspiration

I am back after a brief hiatus for the beautiful story behind the Akoka Project and the jewelry piece I'm wearing. Akola which means "to work" has become a thriving business impacting women and their children in extreme poverty since 2007. I don't simply consider this necklace a beautiful piece of jewelry but I am moved my the hand-rolled beading and hand casted metal pendant each piece made with care. I am so moved by the story behind the Akola women that I hope to find a way to become involved with such inspiring work. For now I encourage you all read their story and get a bold statement piece of your own!
